Join the Student Life Multicultural Center and Latinx initiatives in kicking off #OSUnidos! OSUnidos aims to enhance allyship among communities at Ohio State. Come to the MCC Lobby to make a pledge on behalf of the Latinx community and get a OSUniods T-Shirt. Addtionally, at this event, students will have an opporutunity to ask questions about Latinx cultures, connect with one another and build community. Let’s plant our seeds for our future together! 

Tearing down walls, building people up

Join Latinx initiatives in a conversation about immigration politics, DACA and the impact of the Trump administration. Participants will learn about current events, resources and how to support undocumented individuals.

Racism, Colorism and Stereotypes–Exploring the Black/Afro-Latinx Identity

Join the Student Life Multicultural Center and Latinx initiatives and African/African-American initiatives in exploring how racism and colorism are perpetuated in the Latinx community. Often times, Black/Afro-Latinx individuals are ignored and rejected within our communities. Learn about the history of Black/Afro-Latinx and strategies in creating social change by uplifting this community.

Victor A. Ruiz is the Executive Director of Esperanza, Inc. The mission of Esperanza is to improve the academic achievement of Hispanics in Greater Cleveland by supporting students to graduate high school and promoting post-secondary educational attainment. Join us for a conversation in creating esperanza (hope) for the Latinx community and education.
