Our featured speaker is Onaje X. O. Woodbine, former Yale basketball player and current teacher of religious and philosophy studies at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. He will give a talk on his recently published book, Black Gods of the Asphalt, which connects sports to the lived experiences of Black males. This event is sponsored by the Todd A. Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male, Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center, EHE Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement, Black Student Association, and African Youth League.
