This program, "Ending Islamophobia" will be an interactive experience will explore what Islam actually is in comparison to how it is often portrayed in popular media. Participants are encouraged to come with an open mind and a willingness to learn about one of the most influential religions in the world. A sampling of popular foods that are often part of Islamic traditions will also be provided.
We will have a panel of around 5 students to discuss the basics of the faith of Islam, the experiences of Muslim students on campus and to hopefully debunk some of the common stereotypes and misunderstandings leading to Islamophobia in the world today.
