Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience

Film Screening: The Spook Who Sat by the Door

Time: Monday, February 05, 2018 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: Alonso Family Room, SL Multicultural Center

As a part of United Black World Month, the Department of African American and African Studies along with the SL Multicultural Center presents our series: Black Movements in Film. On Monday, February 05 join us for the 1972 film The Spook Who Sat by the Door.

As we seek to understand more about historic Black resistance movements, this film helps us to explore the issues of Black militancy in the 1960s. After the viewing, there will be a facilitated dialogue around current and historic Black resistance movements led by Professor Simone Drake.
