Time: Tuesday, September 18, 2018 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: Hale Black Cultural Center, MLK Lounge
Sankofa is derived from African roots centered on the principles of critical examination of history and forward progress. The focus of our Experience Sankofa program, and the Sankofa Leadership Collective, is to learn and celebrate the legacy of the black Buckeye community and understand collective responsibility within it.
This evening will begin building on the rich legacy of the Ohio State Black community by building relationships among first and second year students with key student leaders, as well as other representatives of the community. This program is designed to facilitate meaningful relationships and identify important resources and success strategies while attending Ohio State, and it will feature food, shared wisdom from community leaders and provide information about the Sankofa Leadership Collective.
This event is free and open to the public.
