As a part of APIDA Heritage Month 2019, Intercultural Specialist Melissa Beard Jacob will discuss the parallels between the Native American Boarding School system in North America and how similar institutions were created in Hawaii in order to assimilate Native Hawaiian students into Euro-American cultural views and practices.
