Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience

OUAB Goes to the Wilds

Time: Sunday, July 7, 2019 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: The Wilds - 14000 International Road, Cumberland, OH

Join OUAB for a trip to the Wilds located in rural southeastern Ohio.  The Wilds is a private, non-profit conservation  center located on nearly 10,000 acres of reclaimed mine land in rural southeastern Ohio. It was created as the conservation center of the future by a group of civic leaders, political leaders and zoo professionals who believed that a serious scientific approach was required to find solutions to environmental concerns.  From its inception, the Wilds has been envisioned as a facility that combines cutting-edge conservation science and education programs with unique visitor opportunities.

Transportation will be provided to The Wilds. Buses will leave the Ohio Union at 10 A.M. and return back to the Ohio Union at 5:00 PM. Tickets for this event are only good on Sunday, July 7, 2019. One meal will be provided for attendees.
