Location: Ohio Union, Barbie Tootle Room
Join the Student Life Multicultural Center’s Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Student Cohort and the Transracial Adoptee Organization (TAO) at Ohio State for “Am I ________ Enough?” an exploration of the intersections of culture and identity.
As many of us have experienced, society often assigns discrete identities to individuals, asking us to fit ourselves into a single box regarding race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, etc. But what if our identity falls in the spaces between boxes? What happens when there is no box to represent you, your family, and the many different components that are part of our stories? “Am I ________ Enough?” explores these questions about our social identities and focuses on how we can define our own identity, just as we are.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To ask questions about accessibility or request accommodations, please contact Sophia Antoun at 614-688-8449 or firstname.lastname@example.org. At least two weeks' advance notice will help us to provide seamless access.
