The OSU StoryBox is on its global journey!
We are excited that the International StoryBox has already visited Switzerland, Ireland and Israel, is now in Spain, and will be visiting other countries such as New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
The National StoryBox has been in Kentucky and California, is now in Nevada, and will soon be followed by visits in states including Oregon, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and New York.
For updates on the global journey of the storybox, check out the storybox website on Ning.com!
On April 15, 2010, the Ohio State University will celebrate the return of the stories from around the world, in a festival in the new Ohio Union -- the Ohio State StoryBox Return Festival!
Project History: For the 2008-2009 school year, Kevin Cordi served as the storyteller artist-in-residence at the Multicultural Center, launching the OSU StoryBox as part of the International Tellabration Week in October 2008. The MCC hosted guest multicultural storytellers Jan-May 2009, who gave workshops for students and staff and community performances. Through the year, 30+ story ambassadors created storyboxes on campus, in Columbus and beyond. All those story ambassadors came together with their boxes to display and stories to tell in June 2009, at OSU's first StoryTelling Festival and Global Launch of the OSU StoryBox. Feel free to stop by the MCC to look at our book of the StoryBox Project and learn more about this amazing project.
