Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience

One University: Columbus Pride

One University: Columbus Pride 2017

The Ohio State University is proud to participate in the Columbus Pride parade as a walking group made up of different departments, student organizations and other groups across campus. As One University we stand together against discrimination and violence toward LGBTQ people, and in celebration of self-affirmation, equity and the ever-increasing diversity of our communities.

Participants can sign up to join us in one of two ways:

  1. Join the Student Life Multicultural Center's walking group, by emailing the LGBTQ Intercultural Specialist with your name and t-shirt size.
  2. Contact the team captain of your group. This person may have sent a separate email to your club, organization or department.
  • If your department has participated as a group in the past, please be on the lookout for an email from our office.
  • If you want to start a group for this year, please find more information about becoming a Buckeye Pride Captain below.

All participants are eligible to receive a free Buckeye Pride T-Shirt (to be picked up prior to the day of the event), while supplies last.

Note to Buckeye Pride Captains:

Thank you so much for rallying your group and serving as a Buckeye Pride Captain for this amazing event!

  • Your group will have the opportunity to carry a sign identifying your contingent within the University. If you want to have signage printed for your walking group, please submit your registration by Monday, June 5 at noon.
  • All Buckeye Pride Captains who organize a group of 15 or more will also receive a Pride wristband, which provides free entrance to the festival. You can register your group by completing the short registration form.
  • PLEASE: Wait to register until you have the names of all of your group's participants, as well as their t-shirt sizes.
