DESCRIPTION:Cost: Free\nAdmission: \nIn this 4 part workshop series (come
to one\, some or all!)  \;will focus on learning skills to address th
e many challenges associated with transitioning to college (i.e. stress\,
relationships\, independence\, identity formation\, and responsibility).
We will also engage in dialogue about unique\, covert challenges that ar
e often overlooked\, such as  \;depression and anxiety. Our focus is
to have a conversation that addresses and normalizes these concerns while
utilizing coping skills and campus resources to help students navigate t
he college experience successfully.\n\n1/16- \;Finding your Authentic
Self \;- \;Students will explore the challenges of navigating ca
mpus life\, creating meaningful friendships\, and creating a new identity
as independent adults.\n1/23- \;Balancing Act \;- \;Students
will identify healthy ways to balance the demanding rigors of college an
d extracurricular freedoms. \;\n1/30- \;The Power of &ldquo\;The
Ask&rdquo\; \;&ndash\; \;Students will learn key tools to increas
e self-advocacy skills and overcome internal and external barriers.\n2/6-
 \;Mental Health Awareness \;- \;Students will discuss common
mental health concerns on college campuses and learn effective coping sk
ills and suicide prevention techniques.\n2/13- Thank U\, Next: Surviving
Breakups \;- \;Students will explore challenges associated with b
reakups of romantic relationships and identify ways to cope and care for
themselves during this period of change and transition.\n2/20- \;Find
