Creating LGBTQ Inclusive Classrooms

The Student Life Multicultural Center offers an interactive and engaging training around providing LGBTQ inclusive classrooms! This 1- and 30-minute workshop is geared for faculty and instructors to provide inclusive classroom spaces for LGBTQ students. All workshops will be offered virtually for Spring 2021. Exploring the Complexities of “Women of Color”

In this workshop, participants will learn about the origins, usage and current debates about the term “Women of Color.” For more information, contact Madison Eagle.

 

How Women Support Women

In this workshop, participants will learn and discuss the barriers for women to support each other, how to evaluate our own internalized sexism and how best to empower and lift each other up as women. For more information, contact Madison Eagle.

 

Safe Zone (LGBTQ 101)

The Safe Zone project aims to create a more welcoming and more inclusive campus environment, to strengthen community, and to encourage networking among faculty, staff, and students toward the goal of supporting the diverse individuals and communities with minoritized sexual and/or gender identities. Trans 101

The Student Life Multicultural Center provides an engaging and interactive training that discusses supporting transgender students and communities at The Ohio State. This 1- and 30-minute training addresses the concerns of trans students, systems of oppression, gender-based violence, and how to provide allyship/advocacy for transgender communities.
