Native American and Indigenous Student Welcome
Join the Ohio State Native Americanand Indigenous community for a welcome back event during Welcome Week! This is an opportunity to meet new and incoming students as well as learn more about NAISI programs and initiatives scheduled for the upcoming academic year.
The Welcome Gathering is a great opportunity to begin to become familiar with your home away from home! This year's Welcome will be held on Monday, August 23 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Student Life Multicultural Center Alonso Family Room.

Latinx Welcome Cookout
The Latinx Welcome Cookout is a celebration for the start of the school year with Ohio State’s Latino and Latin American communities. It is a great opportunity for new students, faculty and staff to get involved, make new friends, network and while enjoying free food and fun activities.
This year's Welcome will be held on Monday, August 23 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Ohio Union Potter Plaza.
LGBTQ Welcome (Back) Mix and Mingle
Come kick off the school year at the LGBTQ Welcome Back Mixer! Here you will have the chance to connect with other students and learn about LGBTQ+ resources on campus and in Columbus. Whether you're looking for a student organization to get involved in, want to meet new people or need help navigating Columbus, this fun event will provide the resources you need! Light refreshments will be served.This year's Mix and Mingle is on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4 - 6 PM in Great Hall Meeting Room 3, which is located on the first floor of the Ohio Union. APIDA Student Welcome and Showcase
Looking to connect with new friends in the Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi-American (APIDA) community? Attend the APIDA Student Welcome & Showcase taking place on Wednesday, August 25 at 6 pm in the Performance Hall of the Ohio Union!
This event is an opportunity to learn more about different student organizations with a table fair, meet students and staff who will share information about the resources available in the Student Life Multicultural Center, and also a chance to see some really great performances by our student community.

Women's Welcome Event
The Student Life Multicultural Center's Women Student Initiatives (WSI) is excited to welcome new and returning students to Ohio State! Start the school year the best way, by exploring the many new and exciting academic, social and leadership development opportunities available through WSI and its campus partners. The Women's Welcome Event is open to all women-identified members of the Ohio State community and their allies.This gathering will include networking with Ohio State stakeholders that are focused on supporting women-identified folks or issues.
This year's Welcome will be held on Wednesday, August 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at 33 West 11 Avenue Kirwan Institue's First Floor Meeting Room.

African American Family Reunion
The African American Family Reunion is an event welcoming first-year and transfer students, as well as a welcome home gathering for returning students. The Reunion is taking place on Friday, August 27 at 5:30 pm in the Cartoon Room of the Ohio Union.
This event consists of a table fair showcasing Black student organizations and campus resources, great music, and great food. This year’s Reunion also features the NPHC Yard Show, which will begin at 7:30 pm at the Browning Amphitheater.
The African American Family Reunion is a collaboration between the Student Life Multicultural Center, the Black Student Association (BSA), NPHC, and the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center, along with other campus partners.
Get acquainted with the Black OSU student community, make a plate, and enjoy the show!
First-Generation College Student Welcome Fest
Did either/any of your parents complete a four-year college degree? If you answered no, then you are a first-generation college student, and being the first in your family to attend college is something to be proud of! Welcome to campus--we’re glad you’re here!
