Orange Shirt Day: Film Screening of "A Thick Dark Fog"

Time: Wednesday, September 25, 2019 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Location: Brutus Buckeye Room

Join Intercultural Specialist, Melissa Beard Jacob, for a film screening and conversation surrounding Orange Shirt Day and its history and significance to Native American and Indigenous communities and the impacts of boarding/residential school experiences.

The Ohio State Community will be observing Orange Shirt Day on Monday, September 30th. Please remember to wear orange in honor of residential/boarding school surviors, descendents and deceased students.

We will be screening the film, The Thick Dark Fog, which is a documentary that chronicles the experiences of Walter Littlemoon, who attended a federal Indian boarding school in South Dakota. The Thick Dark Fog profiles Walter's journey to heal himself and his community while reclaiming his heritage.
