Asian, Pacific Islander and Desi American

The Student Life Center for Belonging and Social Change’s APIDA Initiatives support the vibrant and diverse Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American, Asian international, Middle Eastern and North African student communities at Ohio State. We serve as a resource for students to build a greater sense of belonging and community on campus.

The CBSC engages in social, cultural and educational programming to increase visibility of APIDA experiences and raise awareness about current social issues impacting our campus, local and national communities.

APIDA Connections

Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) Connections is a space for relationship building, acceptance, and empowerment. We welcome all APIDA identifying students to come together and build community through engaging in conversation, sharing your own unique experience as an APIDA Buckeye, and learning about others across our communities.

Each week we host a different activity or discussion, often facilitated by Peer Leaders, or members of APIDA student organizations, alumni, or community partners.

The APIDA Connections group meets in the Student Life Center for Belonging and Social Change (located on the first floor of the Ohio Union) every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. This program is a drop-in space. We encourage folks to come every week, but you are welcome to drop in whenever you can!

APIDA Leaders Consortium

The Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) Leaders Consortium is a gathering of Ohio State's Asian/APIDA leaders from all different student organizations who are doing the important work of supporting our APIDA communities here on campus.

The APIDA Leaders Consortium consists of representatives from various student organizations on campus and collaborates with the Student Life Center for Belonging and Social Change to coordinate initiatives and programs in order to strengthen proactive student advocacy and community building.

All Asian/APIDA identifying leaders are warmly welcomed to attend our meetings, collaborate and network with their peers, share resources and knowledge of upcoming events and work together to find inclusive ways of better representing and supporting our APIDA communities in different spaces across campus.
